Nagano Japan Winter Olympics / ESPN

I created the identity and visual look for ESPN’s network coverage of the Olympic Winter Games in Nagano, Japan. The mark, depicting iconic Zenkoji Temple, was part of a branding effort that included general and sport specific on-air over-the-shoulder graphics. The design was also featured on lapel pins worn by broadcasting talent during the event. To celebrate the sport networks Olympic coverage, The Walt Disney Company (ESPN’s parent company) included the pin in their merchandising lineup at Epcot Center’s Japan Pavilion.
