Newhouse III joins two pre-existing buildings to comprise the Newhouse School of Public Communications, widely regarded as one of the nation's top journalism schools. In an effort to visually brand all three buildings, Newhouse III's signage system was expanded to its other buildings. Additionally, color-coded signs were used to distinguish each building, a neccessary feature in the connecting corridors below. The monumental First Amendment wraps itself around the facade accentuating the building's expressive form and contributing to its iconic status.
